The Role of Internet regarding Risks related to Non-medical Drugs’ Consumption among Young Adults in Quebec

Non-medical use of pharmaceuticals seems to be increasingly popular among young adults. This study, based on semi-structured interviews with 46 Quebecers aged 18-25 who use prescription drugs and OTCs to enhance performance or increase euphoria, examines how they use the Internet as a source of information. Utilization of the Internet varies among young adults who rely on multiple resources, both online and offline, but rarely contact health care professionals.
