Adapted from the British magazine Forum, the monthly Union, launched in 1972 by the Hachette Filipacchi press group, is characterized by the publishing of amateur productions of readers and a specific definition of libertine sexuality. This article seeks to analyze representations of sexual love as they are portrayed in letters to the editor of Union, consonant with its role in the periodicals devoted to pornography. An analysis of a corpus of letters published in 2011 is based on the cultural scripts’ theory and sociological studies on sexuality. From a methodological point of view, it is based, initially, on a quantitative study that leads to a mapping of the love stories depicted. It moves on to a qualitative analysis of the different ways of expressing sexuality.
