Relations between Africans and Swiss are influenced by a spirit marked by coloniality, conditioned by the discourse of the Swiss media. This system operating in a vacuum reproduces images, stereotypes and representations. The exhibition of Africans in Switzerland confirms the belief in a hierarchy of races. The peculiarity of Switzerland in relation to its neighbours lies in the abstract expression of colonial leanings while it possesses none.
