First printed in the French newspaper Le Petit Parisien from October 11th to November 11th, 1928, then published in a book entitled Terre d’ébène, Albert Londres’report is a denunciation of colonialism. What we call esthesis of denunciation is the presence of the author in his text here to be committed against colonialism. In a first time, we question how and why the presence of the author is necessary in Africa but also in his text even if it is a mark of subjectivity, to testify the violence of the French Empire. And in a second time, according to the theory of Luc Boltanski, Yann Darré and Marie-Ange Schiltz, La dénonciation, we describe the pragmatic dimension of this denunciation and how it can be a success in the public sphere. Eventually we hypothesize that the anti-colonialism memory built around some famous authors and Albert Londres especially is hiding the colonialism history and the violence of the words of the French Empire.
